It happens that while walking for three hours on an island in Tanzania, I’m surrounded. Everybody is on fire. Nobody is alive. Everybody is talking to each other, and they’re trying to get their legs to stand up, but in reality, the things are so small in comparison with what’s happening on the road. It’s not that I’m crazy to think that they’re doing that, although I do wish they had more vigour and vitality, but that we should realise that there is a need for awareness of what we’re doing on a daily basis.

I think when you look after a person, you are really looking after yourself, on yourself. It’s a matter of pride to try and get out of a bad situation, but that’s always hard to achieve.
