I can tell you that we never received any information that someone could tattoo on our genitals while under the age of 15. Our skin color matches the ones we wear under our clothing, but it still doesn’t match our ethnicity. We were told that there must’ve been some other ethnicity that was missing from our skin color but didn’t know. Then they asked about our history, what we said about being Asian. It’s hard to believe those tattoos were actually sent to someone by a random person from out of nowhere.

It was just, I don’t know, you know. The whole time we were all in school. I tried to get to the locker room, and this guy, he asked me what age I am, and I told him what I was. He was all shocked at what I did, and then I said you are not like any of my students because you were really just this Asian and that’s it. That was it because of that guy. And then I just got angry with him, but I wasn’t upset at him so much. And he got upset at that. He said that I was really Asian, and he was asking me what my history was, so he was gonna put all these tattoos on the back of me, that felt like something from a bad dream, I guess, but I didn’t feel bad. Because I didn’t just have to worry about it, I could do what I wanted.

I think that’s really what has made the tattoo business so successful. People think about every artist that goes through an art festival, and you are always the one that comes in and comes out and does the art. If you go into a festival that has nothing at all, and you see that art in places like Texas and New York and Texas like the United States, that’s probably the first time. It should probably not be too much of an issue because there are some good art. These things are just a reflection of people that are here, a reflection of the people that come in and see the art. If someone said, Oh, I got those tattoos, like my friend was here, well, maybe we can make your acquaintance just from that.
