Can You Draw Without Reference - How To Paint Sand Acrylic

There is a lot going on. This is a new project from this guy Pawe Czykaczy, who started the first Polish project after we were there. The design of the project was already presented at the World Congress. He’s probably my favorite artist of all time. The team and we had a very good time.

How did you get into painting

I was in school and was just experimenting with something. I was working with a Polish painter in my class in the middle of the summer and I’d just gotten bored of Polish art and couldn’t do anything else on the spot. I’d like to say that I’ve made this thing before and I had this idea the whole time and it didn’t work out but it was a wonderful project.

When you started a project in Poland it felt like your work wouldn’t get any better. What did you learn that led you to start painting

It was the first time that I had my own work. I was not a big fan of any of the European designers or artists so I started my own paintings and started going to art galleries and trying to make something out of them. Then I was brought home and I decided that I wanted to be a photographer. My love of photography started at home and we had some interesting collaborations during the summer with some of the most interesting people in the world such as Ira, Yuliya, Ljuby Kiejczak, Olena Kovacs, Olga, Ivan Tseva, and others. It wasn’t long before there was a huge international community. In the beginning the idea was that a person would get an assignment on the ground and he would come up to us and say Hey, I know your face is this crazy, I’m going to make some interesting shit and we would look at each other with such a happy expression and say This guy is really clever. He made this face like a fucking robot. Then it quickly evolved that the guy got some kind of attention from the world community and I just wanted to try something new.

When you were asked to be the new Photoshop master you were asked to put in some work so it wasn’t about the actual work itself, its about the paint flow and composition that you put up. What makes you think that he would not do a lot of different work when he was in Poland
