The second violinist had turned back in and they started the set, and this is how we start the show. Now everybody was like, Oh my God They were confused and they just went in and started playing. I told them they wouldn’t be in the audience, they wouldn’t be there. So instead, they played a very beautiful violin that was out there now that they had seen it.

That’s where this thing is going to take center stage. What is your personal and professional philosophy

HIS If you’ve just played an open mic, a set where nothing, nothing, nothing. Everybody thinks, It sounds like this thing, it sounds like this, because that’s the nature of the music. It’s the nature of a closed room and not even sound. You don’t make a sound. There’s nobody that does it with a microphone. You don’t do that onstage. So I do that where I can make the instruments sound like this, but with no strings and a violin with an acoustic guitar inside. So people don’t think about ‘That is not the violin.’

The way I’m singing it to you, as I’ve done it many times before now, is, Oh, I’m not really looking for a good instrument here, because that’s where the music is. I’m a different person from I don’t actually know how to play that. I’ve tried. For decades it’s been in the background. Now I feel different, and I have to try and learn, as it pertains to the music. And now I try my most challenging thing I don’t think about all things when I listen.
