Ripper was so eager to try out that he and his friend started a show at the Brooklyn Museum in February. In the show, Ripper got the chance to play solo with guitarist and lyricist Tony Scott. The performance itself was fantastic, said Ripper. The crowd was incredible. In January of this year, Ripper was invited to perform with his band and show their music in New York City (he also played with band member Bob Hope of the Wailers and Bob’s dad Bob Hope). He was there to perform with the band, performing with Scott, and played with Scott on a bunch of others. That’s pretty much how he started his career.

Ripper is currently in the United States and New Zealand working with another band, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, on their American tour, which hit stores in September. She will be a vocalist on that tour for their album.

As it turns out, Ripper had just had a very successful solo career. She performed solo with John Scofield and Mike Estrada in 2006 in Chicago, Chicago Fire, and The National in Los Angeles, but didn’t play in any local festival. It took years, she admitted, of rehearsals, but she didn’t want to disappoint those people, so she did a solo with her brother, Paul, who played the trumpet. Then she came back to perform with her sister, who was also an American at the time, and she was able to perform Pillow, a concert piece with Estrada and Scofield and Bob Hope, and some more. Later on, she also performed with Bob the Guitarist and had a concert with the legendary Billy The Kid
