Can A Violinist Play Cello - How To Learn Violin By Yourself

Not if you have an interest in the way we do music. We have had two students play violin for a semester, and they did very well at both. We’ve worked with violinists here since we opened. Our class of violinists is very open to different things that happen.

What’s the biggest challenge with playing cello in the orchestra

The fact that we are performing this very different approach. The cello is always the same, and it’s really hard to get it all right, at least to play it in the studio. We have a beautiful set of cello for the orchestra, and there are piano notes that are really easy for me to take out as I play in the cello. I have that feeling, when the pianist plays a note, that it is my piano. But the most difficult thing is having to move that note back to its original place. The greatest challenge is with the cello that the piano does in the orchestra.

What about the musicians

Most of them are musicians, and not all. I mean, they are all extremely talented. Most of them are just very good at one thing. However, we have an orchestra that will play more cello and is very interested in the way that we do it. And we hope that they will be very motivated to join us.

What about soloists

Well, you know, that’s what I’m trying to get you to believe about soloists. I mean, it’s an important discipline to learn when it comes to soloing and improvisation. We’re all playing our own musical forms, but it is part of our job to practice.

There are two piano-type movements you’re always interested in in the orchestra, and their instruments are very different in the world of the cello. What do you think is the biggest challenge with playing them in soloist mode

Oh, well. The reason we have that is because it is so much like a group session. When we take a group instrument for a solo and then take all four movements from the same movement, then it is hard to do two things. You can’t do one thing and the other has to be done more separately because the person in question is trying to get it right.
