This is a case of an internal inquiry of what it means to be a foreign agent in the armed forces.

AMY GOODMAN What is it Why is there a criminal investigation

ROBERT OZNEY Well, I think I should point out in this case a lot of that was, you know, the FBI and the special counsels and other folks of the administration have been talking about this for ages. And you know, one of the things that we have been very keenly aware of is that as the Presidentofthe Administration has been trying to establish a kind of foreign policy as an adjunct to what they were advocating during the Clinton years.

But this was never about the interests of foreign nationals, you know, it was about the interests of the U.S. because of what has happened with this administration’s attitude toward our relationship with Russia. And frankly it’s a problem in any relationship

JUAN GONZLEZ Well, no, I mean, it depends on what you mean, it depends upon what’s going to happen when the president is looking to Russia.

ROBERT OZNEY Absolutely.
