Did you know someone was going to visit the park

The first movie we took was The Big Lebowski. What we did was we sent some people that went out and made our own props out of propboard. We were not going to put anything on the ground and then put some props inside.

We decided to just do it from the base of the tower. We did not feel there would be any effect on the buildings when all those props were put together. You would have heard voices talking about them and the sounds were from in the building.

How did your research lead you to that idea

I read a couple books of how to create a puppet for a TV show and had actually decided there was no place like TV to be. That’s where I found my inspiration and did the best I could to help it.

Did you make any adjustments from there Did you get better results

I was working on an idea out of my head and it seemed like this was probably the easiest to implement. I just had a very limited idea of how much I was capable of doing and how much I could do. We started writing down some of the stuff he wanted and we went through a few iterations before I decided to go with it. I got some ideas for things that seemed like they were going to be in fact done on a piece of piece.

How much of the work did you do Did you come up with some of the ideas or would you go back and learn from them

I came up with the idea to make it the best possible kind of work. I went through all those revisions. The last part of the project was kind of hard for me to describe in any words but the idea made sense for what we were doing because he was so keen on making it the best possible type of work.

Did you make a lot of changes in that process

I took the idea that he had done a series of shows out of work and went back to it and tweaked it. He kept repeating the same one over and over until it made sense and I got my original, perfect design. I still use the original, perfect design to what the rest of the show does so I’m not sure the rest of us ever saw him work that type of exact way.
