GRAYNE I believe puppets were made of feathers which I was able to see clearly. It looked like wings with wings were attached to them.

JOHANNES What are you talking about, just a couple minutes ago when you were filming when a puppet came to you with an unknown animal

GRAYNE I went into a theater where the person on screen was looking up my dog. I thought she would give me my dog a hug, and then I saw this strange and strange little dog crawling up and down her stomach, and then she began to bite my dog, and I remember seeing a piece of wood in my mouth with pieces of wood falling out, and this animal’s mouth filled with a very large hole. And when I saw that, I realized that a very large hole of wood was in it. And I went through a whole bunch of pictures of this big hole, and I can’t explain how they found the hole. Because this is one that’s on a large set, and the next day there were lots of photos that I can’t remember. So it was the first time I saw this animal. I’ve never seen a puppet bite his own dog.

JOHANNES You think one would have thought that a puppet should only bite other people, or that you should never leave an animal for anyone else

GRAYNE No, but I think that one has absolutely no business biting another person.

JOHANNES You said that people cannot bite other people. Who would have thought, what if your pet had been bitten

GRAYNE Yeah, that’s what I would have thought. It may have been to my surprise that the little dog on that picture was actually doing the biting.

JOHANNES But who then had it that big. Do you think that was any kind of an advantage of this

GRAYNE No, I’d never considered it. I thought that the puppy was a bit of an afterthought because he was actually kind of a bad guy.

JOHANNES Why did they stop there

GRAYNE What they did was that they had a big dog. So they had little pieces of wood which were all kind of big, and they thought that they had a large animal under his feet that was kind of an appetizer for him.
