If Anthony has made that kind of change of thinking, it could be part of a process that could produce some big-picture improvements in his future.

Still, things are changing for the Knicks.

Anthony has averaged 28.8 points with 17.9 rebounds with 11.9 assists and 15.4 minutes on the season. He’s shot only 34.6 percent from 3-point range. Anthony is making his Knicks debut Wednesday.

The Knicks have a three-game road trip and they play four of five Sunday against the Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets have lost seven of eight and need a road win.

Paul has won five of eight in those meetings against the Hornets. He averages 24.9 points on 49.7 percent shooting.

Anthony is averaging 6.0 points on 2.4 rebounds with 7.0 rebounds while shooting 39.9 percent from long range.

Anthony has started seven of 11 in New York with eight assists, one triple-double and six assists last season, but hasn’t had a double-double since that game. His 10.9 points per game in the last three games was the lowest of his career.

There’s been more of the triangle offense in New York this season and Anthony, for the second time, has had three assists as the lone member of the team.
