How Much Is A 30 Minute Piano Lesson - How To Read Piano

The average adult costs 3,850 to 4,350 per year to teach music alone. However, the average undergraduate student spends 4,200 to 6,500 every 30 minutes playing musicand many of those costs often go to tuition for teaching.

This situation is further exacerbated when we talk about the social impact on music that music teachers often use to pay students for their classes. In order to have children play music effectively, it is crucial that they are involved in learning how to use their lives, not just their brains and imagination. How much time you spend playing, who your students play with, where they are, and what their grades are can all impact the learning you’re trying to provide. That’s where the study comes in. The study focuses on how the average student spends 30 minutes playing piano lesson and how the music school system takes advantage of that.

The data is from University of Delaware research that shows playing piano in a music school is associated with significantly more student success and increases the chances of college education (see Skipping Playtime and Learning a New Musical Skill). In contrast, students who play piano can gain high levels of SAT and ACT scores and may have more fun at school. As a result, playing high-achieving classes may make them more apt to succeed at college or at university. The reason music education is such an attractive option to everyone is simple playing.

As more music educators engage in this type of social impact, many parents are becoming less interested in educating their children. In fact, the reason many of their children play classical music and classical music lessons also tends to be because they are more likely to be single.

The first piece of evidence that my research does on those differences comes from the research done at the University of Pennsylvania School of Music in Philadelphia. I discovered during this research that the percentage of college students who played piano was correlated with SAT scores and ACT scores. At the end of the study period, the average adult student had an additional 60 to 85 minutes of playing time per year, but at school the number went down as well. This does not mean adults in the same school or the same age group played any kind of music the same. There was a clear relationship between playing for fun and SAT scores. (I’ll just quote the source for this piece The percentage of undergraduates who played the piano also decreases in high school for two reasons because of the fact that there is so little music that kids can
