A I like to give courses on piano and the learning process. I usually finish a year before they get started and I always ask a question and learn something new.
How are you doing since you were studying with Miro
A I’m very happy. I work on an instrument. I like that I learn how to write melodies from the guitar but I love using drums as a basis. I’ve been working on my drums for a long time. I have some good ideas and I still keep them in mind when putting them into the project or recording them.
Q Is anything important about this project
A Nothing at all. It’s just something that I’m really working towards.
How many years have you been studying jazz and other languages
A I’ve studied in Korea and they have some jazz students here. They think I’m a bit more jazz, I guess. But it’s still in Korea.
Q Would you use them in an improv project
A Absolutely. I hope I won’t have to write music so I can write lyrics.
Q Did you start out recording and recording your music at a bar (and did you ever see a jazz band)
A I was playing a piano at one time and I got bored by piano and it wasn’t the best music I played.
Q Do you still play the instruments with your band
A Yes, it was a part of my childhood and one day my sister came home from work and I heard that my brother was recording some pieces here in North Korea and that would have been cool.
Q You’re a jazz musician
A Yes, but my mom makes sure that I don’t play some. I was a junior in high school. I was playing drums and playing jazz. I got really good at it while I was at first.
Q Are you doing anything different today
A Of course the production is very good. I think they’re all different from where I was before and I’ve never done anything so I’m very confident.
Q Do you play live
A They are my favorite type of live instrument. My best friend played some as a child. He was great, I think.
