Ms Parnell said she was shocked then.

Parents’ advice

As a mum struggling with a daughter who plays video games, Ms Bercke is looking for advice.

She said I know a lot of parents are trying to help, but I think that I shouldn’t be able to do that. So if anyone’s going to help me out, I think it’s better that I help their daughter then make them go and work at something or go out and go do some modelling or do something or let them have the chance to play with their friends.

Ms Parnell said she is not the first person to say such things.
