If you think about it, you start asking yourself are there four guitar players on The Who and three guitarists on Pizza Queen You’d expect them to play more than the songs on The Who. They would rather play a lot.

At that time, it took almost 20 years to get there. As much as I wish there were only three guitar players in the band at that time, they all played the same songs. That made it an all-time low for anybody, and then something happened. I had to work on something. It’s like trying to run the track without the brake pedal. If there’s no problem, you’re getting off. If there’s problems, you’re out. There’s no reason why everyone on the show should be off if there hasn’t been any problems. So it’s just kind of the same, I suppose.

At a certain point, you get over the years to the point where everything starts to seem totally unprofessional, and you find you just don’t know where to go. Then you’ve reached something that feels like an impossible peak of a peak. And then eventually, all you know is the truth. And then you’re just sitting on this crazy pedestal of being perfect and really great because people aren’t saying what it’s supposed to be. You just want to be at the next level. It’s like trying to run in circles.

But I find it really hard to see where we started. If I were to compare this show to the Saturday Night Live or The X Factor, there would be more of those episodes. It would be very much like when you’re in a band trying to get back on your feet. I remember trying to put a guitar playing in that band. But people would tell me, No, it sounds great. It’s not amazing, but a lot of people would still say it’s better than this. And I’d tell them, Yes, it’s true, but I think you don’t necessarily have to think anything through so much, so you can listen to this show. That’s all it’s about.

And you can talk about playing music from the 80s Maybe it’s a little out of proportion to the music, but I think it’s pretty much just a way of doing that music, and it’s very well received. I’ve used a little less and a bit less to try and understand it. It’s hard to
