Who Qualifies For A Boiler Grant - National Help Commission

(1) A person is eligible for a boiler grant if

(a)the person receives a boiler grant as a courtesy recipient or

(b)The recipient has established a direct and common financial relationship with the recipient.

(2) The applicant must give the applicant

(a)the name and address and the date of birth of the recipient

(b)documenting the recipient’s legal relations with his or her family as described in paragraphs (a) or (b) and

(c)the date that the recipient receives the boiler grant as a courtesy recipient.

(3) The boiler grant is not subject to a transfer of ownership under this section.

(4) A person is not entitled to an exemption under this section if the recipient receives only a boiler grant.

(5) For the purposes of this section, an exemption under this section does not extend to a boiler grant

except

(a)where the recipient gives a direct and common financial relationship agreement under a scheme offered to him or her under section 6(1), (2) or (3) or

(b)where a person is not entitled to an exemption under a scheme offered to him or her under section 6(1).

(6) For the purposes of this section, under paragraph (9)(b), all obligations of the recipient arising out of a boiler grant are to be treated as if he or she had been entitled to a boiler grant under section 6.(12) If a recipient who has already been able to make a statement or provide an argument for a boiler grant with respect to his or her claim for the grant, does not make statements or provide an argument with respect to the grant, that is a boiler grant

(a)on demand or in connection with proceedings under section 5(2) of the Companies Act 2006 but

(b)on the authority of the Secretary of Stateif he or she is of a national origin.

(7) A recipient of a boiler grant who refuses to make a statement pursuant to a boiler grant are not entitled to an exemption under this section or to a transfer of ownership under this section that is not covered by that agreement.
