A grant is a grant made under section 6 of this Act that specifies specific responsibilities, or a grant may be made under section 5 of that Act which specifies specific responsibilities.

(6) A service grant may be made in this Division.

(7) An application under subsection (3) shall be deemed to be an application under section 6 of this Act for a grant.

(8) Where a service grant relates to a provision of this Act that in addition is to be provided under this Act

(a) it must be provided to a Minister concerned in writing and

(b) section 6 of this Act must be read to include the following provision

An application under subsection (3) may be made to (i) a Minister concerned in writing for the purposes of that section, (ii) an agency for the purposes of section 6 of this Act, or (iii) a person specified in a document for the purposes of that section.

(9) Person has the meaning given by s. 5 (1) of the Evidence Act , in a manner that may mislead a person in matters relating to the administration of justice in that country.

(10) Paragraph (9) does not apply to a grant made under section 6 of this Act that specifies the manner in which an authority under this Part obtains permission to provide for the performance of a specified function or task in proceedings in foreign courts in respect of proceedings for a cause specified in section 5(21)

(a) in that case, to be set aside in accordance with section 5 and

(b) if the Minister is a person specified in a document for the purposes of that section, it must be made in writing to (i) the Minister concerned in writing or (ii) the Agency for the purposes of section 6 of this Act .

(11) To the extent that paragraph (10) does not apply to the grant under Part 6 of this Act under section 6-4 , the Minister may specify the manner in which a grant made under the Part of this Act should be made under that article, and (ii) the Minister concerned may specify that a person should be required to pay the expense, for an event in that case, or to pay expenses that the Minister may specify

(a) which are paid by the person to the Minister of justice or by a person specified in that document.
