Yes, a grant for a new boiler program would be required under section 1051(a) of the Atomic Energy Defense Act of 1954 (29 U.S.C. 853a), which provides for the award of an aggregate of 15 million for each new boiler which is not a temporary and intermittent power plant. To obtain the grant, the Administrator is entitled to consider a review of all of the data which make up that review (including any data which does not otherwise include information relating to safety, efficiency or operation) which provides, to the best of the Administrator’s knowledge, specific information on safety, efficiency or operation of a proposed reactor and provides for procedures which would, to the best of the Administrator’s knowledge, meet, or contribute to the development of the applicable design, design, testing and safety standards.

Dear George,
I’m afraid there are no new requirements for the use of temporary and intermittent nuclear reactors. And the last one was made in December of 2005 .
So here are the new data which I have obtained since July of 1999.
I don’t know (since I didn’t submit my report today, but I can ask it as a witness) the number of new reactors the Department of Energy has added in the last twelve months. And I have never seen a new total.
I will continue to make the same report to the Administrator. I’m hoping I will get to the bottom of the issue within five months. I’m just asking your respect. We’ll see.
If you’re at all inclined to agree, I am writing to you.
I appreciate your input and I welcome your feedback.
President George,
